Job Summary
Analyze RFPs, project specifications, drawings, and blueprints to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for solar, battery storage, and EV charging projects. Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, project managers, and engineers to obtain quotes, plan electrical projects, and execute bids while identifying cost-saving opportunities. Utilize estimation software to streamline the bidding process, prepare comprehensive bid proposals, and coordinate submissions with client follow-ups. Participate in RFPs, potential customer job walks, and occasional site visits (10% travel). Complete background and MVR checks with acceptable results. This role supports MARS Energy Solutions' growth in alternative energy construction, emphasizing customer service and hard work in a remote work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in the electrical industry, preferably in the renewable energy sector
- Demonstrated knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards
- Demonstrated Knowledge of Prevailing Wage requirements
- Proficiency in electrical estimation software and tools while utilizing standard cost estimation methods
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address project challenges effectively
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients
- Must complete background & MVR check with acceptable results
- Occasional travel to job sites for site walks and to company offices for meetings. (10% travel)
