Job Summary
Assistant Project Manager on a utility-scale solar construction site in Tonopah, AZ, responsible for the administration of the construction project and assisting the Project Manager in management of the construction project. Responsibilities include maintaining cost control ledger and job cost statements, preparing billings and expediting payments, estimating and negotiating change orders, writing subcontract change orders, setting up and maintaining the CMiC system, preparing bid packages and evaluating bids, preparing project procedures, reviewing plans for completeness and accuracy, preparing Purchase Orders and Rental Agreements, supervising and training Project Engineers and clerical staff, and completing other assigned duties. Requires field experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and willingness to travel. Benefits include medical/dental/vision insurance, life and disability insurance, and 401(k). The role is full-time on-site with travel.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree, or equivalent experience
- 3-4 years construction experience
- 1+ years scheduling and estimating experience
- Effective written and verbal communications skills and organizational skills
