Job Summary
EP RN II performs general and cardiac nursing care, in-person interrogation and reprogramming of cardiac devices (pacemakers, ICDs, ILRs), administers medications, triages device findings, supports Electrophysiology services, communicates with industry reps, patients and families about CIED therapies, and ensures quality and safety standards per protocol. Requires Iowa RN license, vehicle operation, and ongoing device-related training and certifications as outlined.
Required Qualifications
- Three years of RN nursing experience
- Current RN licensure in Iowa or compact state
- Valid Iowa Driver’s/Chauffeurs License
- BLS certification
- ACLS within 6 months
- 12 Lead EKG class within 1 year
- Level I Cardiac Arrhythmia class within 6 months
- Level II 12 Lead EKG class within 1 year
- Level III Advanced 12 Lead EKG class within 18 months
- IBHRE CDRMS certification within 1 year after device training
- IBHRE CCDS certification encouraged within 3 years
