Job Summary

Carry out welding, fabrication, repair, and maintenance activities across site-based work fronts for shutdowns, planned maintenance, breakdowns, and project scopes. Execute structural, plate, pipework, and general fabrication tasks using processes including FCAW, GTAW, GMAW, MMAW, MIG, TIG, and Stick. Interpret drawings, weld procedures, work packs, and technical documentation while adhering to permits, risk assessments, and job plans. Collaborate with supervisors, leading hands, boilermakers, fitters, and riggers to ensure safe, efficient, and quality-compliant completion of industrial work fronts. This opportunity is suited to trade-qualified Welders with experience in LNG, oil and gas, mining, resources, power generation, alumina, refinery, or heavy industrial environments.

Required Qualifications

  • Australian recognised trade qualification in Engineering – Fabrication, Welding, Boilermaking, or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience as a Welder within shutdowns, maintenance, turnarounds, breakdowns, or project work
  • Experience working within LNG, oil and gas, mining, resources, power generation, alumina, refinery, or heavy industrial environments
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, weld procedures, and job packs
  • Weld test capability and current welding tickets or qualifications
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Recent Police Clearance
  • Full Australian Working Rights

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with structural, pipe, plate, carbon steel, stainless steel, or alloy welding
  • Relevant site inductions, Construction White Card, working at heights, confined space, EWP, gas testing, and first aid tickets
