Job Summary
Interface with external and internal customers to ensure program excellence in design and development efforts leading to low rate initial production. Maintain budget and schedule goals by regularly communicating status updates to stakeholders. Oversee technical and operational military projects within defense development activities, leveraging experience in Operations Research, electronics design, or optical design. This role supports weapon systems engineering and the application of advanced machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques. Candidates must be U.S. citizens with an active Secret security clearance (TS preferred) and a BS in Engineering or related field. Located in Huntsville, AL, this position requires 15+ years of professional experience and offers competitive compensation with benefits.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or related field, plus 3+ years of experience in program management
- Degree in Management, plus 5+ years of experience in performing program management of a defense development activity
- 15+ years of professional experience
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Active Secret security clearance
- Experience in overseeing technical and/or operational military projects
- Experience in at least two of the following: Operations Research, Electronics Design, Optical Design, Integrated Air and Missile Defense
Desired Qualifications
- Masters in Engineering, Physics, or Engineering Management
- Experience with MDA, NORTHCOM, and STRATCOM in execution of the Missile Defense mission
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Experience in production of Electro-optic/Infrared Imaging Systems
- Engineering experience in the defense industry
- Proven capabilities in team facilitation and development
