Job Summary
Project Manager 1 role in Pace Analytical’s lab and office environments—facilitating clear, proactive communication between clients, laboratory staff, and sales, leading client meetings, coordinating with Account Executives and Department Leads to assess testing capabilities and impact on quote changes, updating LIMS with status and costs, supporting sample management on complex projects, generating client/internal reports, and ensuring regulatory compliance and timely delivery of milestones. Requires coordinating budgets, timelines, materials, and personnel, interpreting policies and regulations, and maintaining professional, collaborative relationships across diverse stakeholders to advance project goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, chemistry, or a closely related field
- at least three (3) years of related experience, including work with specialized or technical programs or operations
- General understanding of project management program administration, policies, and procedures
- Intermediate to advanced methods for resolving project management issues and concerns
- Working knowledge of applicable laws, codes, and regulations
- General knowledge of laboratory testing capabilities
- Familiarity with computer applications and systems relevant to the role
- Principles and practices of effective teamwork
- Communication methods to ensure safe, effective, and appropriate operations with staff and clients
- Proper use of business English, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- Managing and administering general project management functions
- Training others on policies and procedures related to the work
- Contributing as both a team member and individual contributor in project environments
- Interpreting, applying, and explaining laws, codes, and regulations
- Preparing intermediate to complex reports, correspondence, and documentation
- Exercising initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines
- Demonstrating tact, discretion, and professionalism in all interactions
- Effectively contributing to team goals, objectives, and activities
- Establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with diverse stakeholders
