Job Summary
Maintain a clean and sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors by disinfecting precaution rooms, removing soiled linen and trash, and ensuring carts and equipment remain orderly and safe. Pick up bulk trash to the compactor, answer Environmental Services texts and calls, and report maintenance problems or safety hazards to the supervisor. Perform assigned work safely while attending regularly scheduled inservice training programs. Requires high school diploma, two years of customer service experience, and ability to stand, walk, and lift for the entire shift. Weekend required with 3pm start.
Required Qualifications
- Two years of customer service experience
- Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures
- Ability to read and write at a high school level
- Ability to understand and communicate
- Ability to maintain a high degree of personal hygiene
- Ability to maintain a courteous, service oriented helpful attitude throughout the workday
- Ability to work in a standing position and carry out normally assigned duties for the entire shift
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, especially regarding patients
- Ability to use PDA/Smart Phones for job assignments
- Will utilize or need to access emails on computer intermittent organizational communication
- Prolonged standing, walking, and lifting as required
- Safety Glasses must be always worn
- High school diploma/GED
- an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3pm start
- Weekend required
