Job Summary
Maintain patient, office, and ancillary areas in a clean, sanitary condition by disinfecting precaution rooms, removing trash and soiled linen, and ensuring carts and equipment remain orderly and safe. Pick up bulk trash from assigned areas to the compactor and manage paper and soap supplies throughout the hospital. Remove empty boxes from carts, closets, and floors, and answer Environmental Services texts and calls promptly while logging into assigned apps. Report maintenance problems, hazards, or safety violations to the supervisor immediately. Perform assigned duties safely while adhering to infection control policies and departmental safety rules.
Required Qualifications
- Two years of customer service experience
- Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures
- Ability to read and write at a high school level
- Ability to understand and communicate
- Ability to maintain a high degree of personal hygiene
- Ability to maintain a courteous, service oriented helpful attitude throughout the workday
- Ability to work in a standing position and carry out normally assigned duties for the entire shift
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, especially regarding patients
- Ability to use PDA/Smart Phones for job assignments
- Will utilize or need to access emails on computer intermittent organizational communication
- Prolonged standing, walking, and lifting as required
- Safety Glasses must be always worn
- High school diploma/GED
- an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3pm start
- Weekend required
