Job Summary
Conduct airflow and environmental testing in hospital and healthcare facilities across the Chicago and Indianapolis regions. Perform air balancing and ventilation verification while working in active settings, including mechanical and hard-to-reach areas. Travel daily to customer sites, driving 30–300 miles, and conduct off-hours testing to support hospital operations. Lift and move equipment weighing 50–100 lbs while working independently from a company-provided vehicle. Maintain accurate documentation to ensure compliance with healthcare and safety standards. Serve as a trusted technical partner to hospital staff and internal teams.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- 1–3 years of experience in air balancing, environmental/airflow testing, industrial hygiene, EHS, mechanical/facilities work, or healthcare compliance
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor's degree is a plus)
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technical work
- Must be able to lift, carry, and move equipment weighing 50–100 lbs
- Must be available for daily travel to customer sites
- Must be available for some overnight travel
- Must be available for early mornings or later evenings based on hospital scheduling needs
- Must be able to work independently out of a company-provided service vehicle
- Must be able to work in active healthcare settings, including mechanical and hard-to-reach areas
- Must be able to conduct testing during off-hours when required
- Must be able to maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with healthcare and safety standards
- Must be able to serve as a trusted technical partner to hospital staff and internal teams
Desired Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree
- Certifications such as NEEB, AABC, or air balancing accreditation
- Experience working in healthcare environments
