Job Summary
Environmental Test Engineering Manager 2 leading the Western Region M&ETE team in Redondo Beach, CA and Gilbert, AZ. Responsible for managing environmental test engineering professionals, processes, assets, and budgets; providing technical leadership for environmental test efforts across space programs; directing staff performance, coaching, and development; coordinating with program management, systems engineering, and flight hardware teams; ensuring effective test campaigns through resource scheduling, risk management, and process improvements; hands-on oversight of vibration, shock, and thermal testing of aerospace hardware; overseeing test equipment maintenance, lab scheduling, and capital assets; guiding technical studies and cross-functional collaboration to deliver measurable results.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM)
- 5 years of experience in environmental test engineering or related field
- Hands-on environmental test engineering experience
- Experience with large-scale thermal vacuum testing and chamber operations
- Strong communication skills with customers and program leadership
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to staff testing campaigns, allocate resources, schedule execution, and develop workforce
