Job Summary
Conduct field investigations and laboratory tests to determine pollutant sources, analyzing samples of gases, water, soil, and sediments using chemical and analytical instrumentation. Evaluate atmospheric and water pollutants by collecting data from smokestacks, streams, and industrial waste while maintaining gas and fluid flow systems. Maintain the environmental database by designing information systems, preparing summaries, and charting findings to address short-term and long-range environmental issues. Comply with legal and waste management requirements to ensure a safe working environment and conserve resources.
