Job Summary
Environmental Technician I role supporting hazardous waste handling and compliance as part of Veolia/Clean Earth integration. Responsibilities include learning environmental regulations, consolidating, treating, storing, transporting, and/or disposing of hazardous waste in accordance with policies and procedures; completing required documentation accurately and timely; operating forklift and other mobile equipment to move containers; and performing physically active tasks (lifting up to 50 pounds) in outdoor/indoor settings. The position emphasizes training in environmental regulations, safe handling practices, documentation, and adherence to customer policies, with opportunities for basic computer-based training and advancement within warehouse/manufacturing environments.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to repeatedly lift and carry 50 pounds throughout the workday
- Ability to wear company-issued PPE including safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toed shoes, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator
