Job Summary
Environmental Technician I at Veolia/Clean Earth (integration). Responsibilities include learning regulatory requirements, handling hazardous waste in accordance with procedures, and performing consolidation, treatment, storage, transport, and/or disposal of hazardous materials. Role involves operating forklifts and mobile equipment to move containers to/from storage and treatment areas, completing accurate documentation, and adhering to applicable regulations. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work in outdoor and indoor environments, wear PPE (gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toed shoes, Tyvek coveralls, respirator), and work a night shift (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM) with potential for occasional nights/weekends. Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds repeatedly
- Ability to stand and walk on uneven surfaces
- Visual acuity to read labels and documentation
- Ability to hear warning chimes/alarms
- Ability to work outdoors in all climates and indoors in non-climate-controlled conditions
- Willingness to wear PPE including safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toed shoes, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, respirator
- Preferred: experience in warehouse/manufacturing
- Basic computer skills for web-based training
- Ability to understand/respond to English
- Ability to attend scheduled hours, including occasional nights/weekends
