Job Summary
Load, unload, or adjust materials on conveyors by hand, including trucks carrying hazardous and non-hazardous waste. Operate forklifts, ensure proper labeling, and segregate containers by process code. Perform compatibility tests, monitor material flow, and remove clogs or defects from processing equipment using lifts or hoists. Apply and remove area-specific locks and tags per equipment lockout procedures. Direct traffic movement, warn of hazards, clean work areas, and notify supervisors of equipment or material problems. Work medium to heavy conditions rotating through warehouse areas, lifting 60 pounds and moving 55-gallon drums. Stand or walk for long periods, climb stairs, and work overtime as required.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED)
- Ability to climb stairs
- Ability to lift 60 pounds
- Ability to move 55-gallon drums
- Ability to work overtime hours as required by business conditions
- Ability to work in a busy work environment
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
Desired Qualifications
- No prior experience is required; experience in operating small equipment preferred
- Experience working fork lifts preferred
- Prior experience on processing and/or constructions sites is preferred/helpful
