Job Summary
Conduct non-emergency and emergency response activities involving confined space entry, tank cleaning, oil spill cleanup, and hazardous materials management. Operate light and heavy equipment including forklifts, aerial lifts, skid steers, and excavators while adhering to strict safety procedures and wearing proper PPE. Perform labor-intensive tasks in all weather conditions, including sweeping, shoveling, and high-pressure washing, under the direct guidance of a supervisor. Work rotating shifts, days, nights, weekends, and holidays, with an on-call rotation for emergency response that may require out-of-town travel. Complete mandatory training to earn certifications and ensure all paperwork is signed and submitted.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Valid Driver's license with a clean driving record
- At least 6 months of Construction or General Labor experience
- Must be able to get to/from the job site
- Must be able to pass Pre-Employment Physical, Drug Screen and Alcohol testing
- Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment Background Screening
- Must be able to successfully complete OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour and other mandatory training courses
- Ability to work a rotating shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability and willingness to travel for extended periods of time, overnight and on an on-call basis
- Able to read, write, and understand the English language, and able to follow verbal and written instructions
