Job Summary
Place and label hazardous waste storage drums at designated Satellite Accumulation Areas, then pick up and move waste to the centralized Hazardous Waste Building as needed. Inspect and monitor storage conditions at these areas and conduct inventories of hazardous materials to report status to the Government. Coordinate solid and universal waste receptacle pick-ups and assist with other facility maintenance activities. This role supports mission-critical operations within a secure Government facility environment. You must hold 40-hr HAZWOPER certification, be a US citizen eligible for clearance, and possess the ability to lift 50-70 lbs while wearing personal protective equipment including respirators.
Required Qualifications
- US citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain clearance
- able to work independently in a secure or sensitive environment
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in a similar role
- 40-hr HAZWOPER certification
- ability to lift 50 - 70 lbs
- ability to work in various levels of personal protective equipment (PPE) including respirators
- Respirator fit with pulmonary function test, baseline and ongoing medical surveillance
- drug testing
- High School diploma or equivalent
