Job Summary
Perform routine fieldwork including environmental multi-media sampling, operations, maintenance, and inspection of equipment under close supervision. Support project staff with various activities associated with groundwater remediation systems, such as extraction of impacted groundwater, recovery system maintenance, collecting groundwater samples to monitor performance, and compiling field data. Set up and operate equipment while inspecting installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining proper project documentation. Requires OSHA 40-hour hazardous site worker training, a valid driver's license, and US citizenship.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- US citizenship
- Pass a pre-employment substance abuse test
- Pass a pre-employment criminal background check
- Pass a motor vehicle records check
- Ability to obtain the Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) within 30 days of hire
- OSHA 40-hour hazardous site worker training
- Experience in general construction and environmental remediation/sampling
- Hands-on mechanical experience
- Experience with various media sampling (soil, groundwater, and waste)
- Experience with health and safety programs
- Effective communication skills (verbal, field notes, etc.)
