Job Summary
Perform routine fieldwork including environmental multi-media sampling, operations, maintenance, and inspection of equipment under close supervision. Execute various activities for groundwater remediation systems, such as extracting impacted groundwater, performing recovery system maintenance, collecting samples to monitor performance, and compiling field data. Set up and operate equipment while inspecting installations for compliance and maintaining proper project documentation. Support project staff with daily tasks across Colorado, New Mexico, Montana, and other locations. Requires OSHA 40-hour hazardous site worker training, a valid driver's license, and US citizenship.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- US citizenship
- Pass a pre-employment substance abuse test
- Pass a pre-employment criminal background check
- Pass a motor vehicle records check
- OSHA 40-hour hazardous site worker training
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in general construction and environmental remediation/sampling
- Hands-on mechanical experience and interests (examples include construction, home repair, and auto maintenance)
- Ability to obtain the Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) within 30 days of hire
- Mechanical skills and hands-on skills
- Experience with various media sampling (soil, groundwater, and waste)
- Experience with health and safety programs
- Effective communication skills (verbal, field notes, etc.)
