Job Summary
Environmental Technician responsible for supporting remediation system operation and maintenance and groundwater monitoring projects in the Montana region. Duties include data management, routine fieldwork (environmental multi-media sampling, operations, maintenance, and equipment inspection under supervision for the first six months), remediation system operation and maintenance activities, groundwater monitoring, and maintaining project documentation. May involve health and safety coordination, equipment inspections for compliance, and subcontractor oversight. Travel to worksites with potential overnight stays up to 1 week per month. Requires outdoor work in variable conditions and ability to lift up to 50 lbs; expects OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER and related safety training. Position emphasizes mechanical experience, environmental sampling, and effective communication; candidate must possess a valid driver’s license and be eligible for pre-employment screenings.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 2+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must pass pre-employment physical, background check, and drug and alcohol screen
- Participation in ongoing medical surveillance and client-specific drug and alcohol screening as a condition of continued employment
- OSHA 40-hour hazardous waste operations (HAZWOPER) and other safety training
