Job Summary
Environmental Services Aide responsibilities include cleaning duties in a hospital setting following established procedures and using properly labeled cleaning supplies. Duties cover cleaning beds, fixtures, windows, floors, and related areas; handling linen and waste; moving furniture for cleaning or facility adjustments; and supporting setup for events. Required competencies include operating buffing/scrubbing machines, vacuum cleaners, and Sani-Pak equipment; ability to lift 15 pounds; ability to ambulate stairs and bend at the knees; and effective English communication. Education is High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred) with 1 year of industrial/hospital experience (preferred).
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Minimum of one year experience in an industrial or hospital setting (preferred)
- Demonstrated competency in the use of buffing and scrubbing machines, vacuum cleaners and extractor machines
- Must be able to lift/carry 15 pounds
- Must be able to ambulate, up and down stairs and bend at knees repeatedly during shift in the performance of cleaning duties
- Communicate effectively in English
