Job Summary
Collect and remove soiled linens while stocking, transporting, counting, and delivering clean linens to assigned patient and non-patient areas. Maintain and supply these zones according to standardized department procedures, utilizing mechanical equipment like carpet extractors or water pressure washers as needed. Perform heavy lifting and operate tools such as vacuums, floor waxers, and cleaning supplies to execute hospital-wide cleaning duties. Stand for long periods and assist hospital personnel whenever duty calls.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or relevant experience
- Must be able to converse comfortably in English
- Must be able to read labels
- Must be able to lift heavy objects and push large equipment
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of, or experience in, hospital housekeeping procedures
