Job Summary
Manage environmental aspects of a high-tech manufacturing facility by improving the Environmental Management System through automation and Big Data efforts. Perform carbon emissions verification to comply with the Carbon Pricing Act and support external audits for the Carbon Tax. Analyze waste reduction, water reclamation, wastewater treatment, and air emissions control projects while developing Earth Week activities to promote environmental awareness. Work independently in an unstructured environment to support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements. This 16–24 week credit-bearing internship commencing January 2027 offers one-on-one mentorship and exposure to upcoming sustainability regulations within GlobalFoundries' global semiconductor foundry.
Required Qualifications
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree
- Must be in good academic standing
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship
- Available for a 16–24 week credit-bearing internship commencing January 2027

- Prior related internship or co-op experience
- Interested in the green industry
- Works well in an unstructured environment and independently as necessary
- Able to communicate with a wide spectrum of stakeholders
