Environmental Supervisor

Job Summary
Conduct daily environmental compliance monitoring, wastewater treatment oversight, and facility inspections to ensure adherence to EPA, KDHE, and local regulations. Lead and maintain programs covering air emissions, hazardous waste management, chemical reporting, and equipment maintenance for pumps, piping, and air control systems. Supervise Environmental Technicians, coordinate repairs with production teams, and provide annual training on hazardous waste protocols. Perform routine internal audits, troubleshoot environmental systems, and ensure all documentation and work orders are accurately recorded. Work 12-hour shifts in a manufacturing environment requiring PPE and physical stamina.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, twist, push, and pull for extended periods (including 12-hour shifts)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, safety glasses, gloves, hard hat, and metatarsal footwear
- Exposure to industrial environments, including heat, cold, humidity, noise, and dust
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental or Safety Science
- Experience with environmental compliance, wastewater systems, or hazardous waste management
- Knowledge of ISO14001, EHS Laws and Regulations
- Proficiency with computer systems and maintenance/work order software
