Job Summary

Conduct routine and rain-event stormwater inspections, documenting findings per the Construction General Permit and NPDES requirements. Develop, maintain, and update Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs) as site conditions change. Walk the site to identify erosion and sediment control deficiencies, driving corrective actions to closure while tracking best management practices for proper installation and maintenance. Keep inspection logs and permit documentation complete and audit-ready, serving as the day-to-day point of contact for regulatory agency coordination. Flag potential compliance risks early and recommend practical solutions. This ongoing 1099 contract offers $40 to $65 per hour for onsite work in Boise, ID, supporting a high-profile semiconductor construction project.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent field experience
  • Working knowledge of stormwater regulations: NPDES, the Construction General Permit, and SWPPP requirements
  • Experience performing stormwater inspections and erosion and sediment control on active construction sites
  • Strong documentation habits and the discipline to keep records inspection-ready
  • Ability to be onsite in Boise, ID, full-time

Desired Qualifications

  • CPESC, CESSWI, QSP/QSD, or a state-recognized stormwater inspector certification
  • Familiarity with GIS, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D
  • Exposure to environmental permitting, remediation, or water resources
  • Experience on large-scale semiconductor, industrial, or commercial construction projects
