Job Summary
Implement turn-key groundwater and soil remediation designs using custom injection trailers equipped with specialized tanks, pumps, hoses, and injection tooling across project sites around the United States. Support on-site management by reviewing Scope of Work documents, assisting with product handling and preparation, and recording application points, injected volumes, and field observations. Monitor injection performance to maximize product quantity and optimize subsurface reagent distribution while generating daily reports summarizing activities. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on owned equipment, identify tasks outside the SOW, and communicate findings to the Project Supervisor. Work independently on administrative tasks and report writing while adhering to health and safety programs and DOT regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Must be organized
- Must be able to handle the physical demands of the activities for this job
- Must have strong writing and communication skills
- Must be willing to travel up to 90% of the time
- Must have a valid driver's license with clean record
- Must have the ability to drive and fly to sites around the country
- Must be willing to work outside in all weather conditions
- Must pass a pre-placement physical exam
- Must pass routine drug and alcohol monitoring
- Must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in geology, engineering, biology, chemistry, or a related science discipline
- Must have one to two years of work experience on environmental construction sites
- Must have knowledge of groundwater and/or soil remediation of petroleum hydrocarbons and chlorinated solvents
- Must have OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER Training
- Must be able to understand and interpret construction drawings
- Must be mechanically inclined
- Must be willing to work with and take direction from mid to senior level Project Scientists
- Must demonstrate a strong desire to learn, work hard, and achieve more
- Must have proficiency with Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel
- Must be capable of driving a pickup truck with trailer following DOT regulations
- Must be able to handle physical rigors of field work which includes lifting and moving equipment weighing up to 60 lbs
