Job Summary
Assess and reduce environmental pollution from manufacturing processes and equipment across design, construction, operations, and disposal. Monitor emission facilities and disaster prevention systems to ensure compliance with authority regulations. Establish and implement environmental management standards for air, water, waste, and soil, while managing chemical materials and SDS compliance. Develop waste reduction and recycling programs, tracking storage, transportation, and vendor treatment guidelines. Research monitoring vendors and train operators on cell discharge room procedures. Report work environment status to government agencies and liaise with authorities, customers, and local communities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in environmental or equivalent
- 5 years of relevant experience in EV battery, auto parts, automobile industry, or similar to high volume manufacturing
- Must wear company-provided uniforms
- Must wear company-provided uniform and PPE including safety shoes, helmet, safety glasses, and portable gas measuring device
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- May occasionally left and/or move up to up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to regularly stand, walk, sit, talk or hear
- The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms to include stoop, kneel, bend or crawl
Desired Qualifications
- Battery manufacturing experiences (preferred)
- PE (professional engineer) for the environment (preferred)
- Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar programs (preferred)
