Job Summary
Environmental Specialist to support air, water, waste, and spill prevention/response compliance for an agricultural-industrial processing client. Responsibilities include environmental compliance coordination, field sampling and monitoring oversight, documentation and reporting, and coordination with regulatory agencies and facility staff. Requires interpreting regulations (Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act including NPDES/SDS, RCRA, RMP/PSM, SPCC; storage tank and hazardous materials rules; solid waste requirements) and developing defensible documentation, with field data collection and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. Location-based in the Bismarck, ND area; travel to field sites and collaboration with clients and internal teams are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, environmental planning, environmental policy, biology, wildlife management, range management, natural resources management, or related field
- 3-5 years of related experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, ArcGIS Pro, Field Maps
- Must have a valid driver's license and be able to operate a 4-wheel drive pickup; trailering and UTV experience a plus
- Must be willing to travel frequently for fieldwork, sometimes remote with overnight stays
