Job Summary
Environmental Specialist position based on-site at client locations in the Raleigh/Durham area. Responsibilities include developing understanding of OSHA regulations and Triumvirate Health & Safety practices; preparing chemical and biological waste documentation for shipment and disposal; safe handling of hazardous waste containers; conducting inspections of safety equipment and hazardous waste; performing and documenting EHS audits; delivering exceptional customer service; maintaining state and federal regulatory expertise (e.g., RCRA, DOT, OSHA); conducting spill response assessments and cleanup; rotating on-call for Emergency Response; flexible hours and potential advancement in hazardous waste management; must be able to report to Raleigh office within 1 hour during rotating shifts; requires the ability to lift 60 pounds and pass pre-employment screenings; environment includes working with hazardous chemicals and biological waste; on-site role with potential for relocation opportunities and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the hazardous-waste industry, or relevant military experience
- Must be able to report to the Raleigh office within 1 hour during Emergency Response rotating shifts
- Must have a valid US driver's license
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship
