Job Summary
Environmental Specialist to join Qnity's EH&S team in Dayton, OH. Support regulatory programs across air, water, and hazardous waste; manage POTW sampling coordination and monthly reporting; maintain SPCC and GWPP compliance; lead ISO 14001 activities; complete TRI and Tier II reporting data collection; conduct inspections and audits; provide field support and review documentation for environmental considerations in capital projects; manage the SDS system; contribute to sustainability reporting and continuous improvement initiatives; strong technical writing and communication skills required; 1–3 years of relevant experience and a relevant bachelor's degree preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Chemistry or other related degree from an accredited program
- 1–3 years of relevant experience (including internships or co-ops)
- Superior technical writing abilities
- Basic understanding of environmental regulations (air, water, waste)
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with contractors, co-workers, and other professionals
- Ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and regulators
