Job Summary
The Environmental Specialist is responsible for performing SWPPP inspections, managing schedules, reporting noncompliance events, and maintaining quality standards. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, 40-hour HAZWOPER training, and excellent communication skills. This full-time position involves inspecting stockpiles and stormwater BMPs, collecting samples, and completing necessary documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university in Civil Engineering, Geology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related field
- 40-hour HAZWOPER training and current 8-hour HAZOPWER refreshers
Desired Qualifications
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in MS Word Office Suite Products
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed
- Detailed oriented with paperwork and submittals
- Ability to calibrate and operate field meters (e.g., pH) and record results
