Job Summary

Conduct audits and inspections at the plant, quarries, and terminals; collect environmental data and write reports to maintain site compliance with the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and RCRA. Provide training on environmental topics and develop policies and procedures while leveraging advanced tools to drive safety, efficiency, and long-term performance. Work independently or as part of a team, making timely decisions based on accurate problem identification and data collection. This role supports the newest cement plant in the United States, fostering a culture of innovation and environmental stewardship within Eagle Materials.

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Timely and sound decision-making skills.
  • An understanding of environmental regulations under the Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).
  • The ability to develop and implement policies and procedures.
  • Experience in manufacturing.
  • Use of Microsoft documents, information, data, presentation software (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • Bachelors degree in Environmental Science or Engineering required
  • Experience working in industrial environment preferred
  • Working 8-12 hours shifts.
  • Working in areas of heat, cold, muddy, icy, or dusty conditions for extended periods of time.
  • Subject to twisting, bending, stooping, lifting, and climbing.
  • Lifting 65+ lbs regularly.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

Desired Qualifications

  • Method 9 certification preferred.
