Job Summary
Conduct audits and inspections, collect environmental data, and write reports to maintain compliance at the plant, quarries, and terminals. Provide training on environmental topics and develop policies and procedures while leveraging advanced tools to drive safety, efficiency, and long-term performance. Work independently or as part of a team to identify problems, gather relevant information, and generate cost-effective solutions. The role requires an understanding of regulations under the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and RCRA, along with proficiency in Microsoft software. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills, sound decision-making abilities, and experience in manufacturing. This position involves working 8-12 hour shifts in varied conditions, including heat, cold, and dusty environments, with physical demands such as lifting 65+ lbs and extended standing. Method 9 certification is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Timely and sound decision-making skills.
- An understanding of environmental regulations under the Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).
- The ability to develop and implement policies and procedures.
- Experience in manufacturing.
- Use of Microsoft documents, information, data, presentation software (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Bachelors degree in Environmental Science or Engineering required
- Experience working in industrial environment preferred
- Working 8-12 hours shifts.
- Working in areas of heat, cold, muddy, icy, or dusty conditions for extended periods of time.
- Subject to twisting, bending, stooping, lifting, and climbing.
- Lifting 65+ lbs regularly.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Desired Qualifications
- Method 9 certification preferred.
