Job Summary

Conduct field-level environmental compliance as a Subject Matter Expert for southeast New Mexico oil and gas assets, including gas plants and compressor stations. Organize, plan, and audit environmental programs to ensure adherence to federal, state, and corporate regulations. Manage LDAR programs, prepare semiannual deviation reports, and calculate hourly emissions for NMED portal submissions. Oversee waste management activities, SPCC requirements, and spill response while serving as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies on reports and inspections. Facilitate resolution of audit findings and incident investigations while maintaining a working knowledge of applicable regulations. Work Monday through Friday with after-hours availability as needed, requiring occasional driving to field facilities and outdoor work in adverse conditions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an area of Environmental study or an engineering discipline
  • 3-5 years working in Environmental field
  • Experience in air regulations
  • Experience in Oil and Gas Operations
  • Valid driver's license
  • Safe driving record satisfactory to the company
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Ability to work effectively in all working conditions noted above
  • Ability to possess and maintain a valid driver's license to include a safe driving record satisfactory to the company
  • Will be working in an office environment with prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer
  • Will work outdoors in adverse or extreme weather conditions
  • Will be required to frequently drive to other field facilities within their assigned region
  • Available outside of normal working hours as needed for business necessity
  • Will require lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs. in a safe manner on an occasional basis

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) and other gas detection methods preferred
  • Strong software skills in Microsoft products, specifically Excel
  • Promax experience preferred
