Environmental Specialist I

Consolidate hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials at designated sites using appropriate equipment while wearing personal protective equipment. Decontaminate and dispose of empty drums and containers according to RCRA guidelines, and assist in completing necessary paperwork for processing materials. Sample waste streams per prescribed policies, manage manifesting, packaging, spill clean-up, labeling, loading, and off-loading, and coordinate transportation. Operate and maintain all equipment to ensure efficiency while complying with DOT, EPA, and VES-TS regulations. Maintain a professional image by answering client inquiries and suggesting solutions. This traveling position requires working overtime and maintaining a clean-shaven appearance.
