Job Summary
Environmental Specialist role in Huntsman’s Advanced Materials Division in Akron, OH. Responsible for managing facility waste storage, transportation, and disposal; overseeing sample collection and analytical testing; administering the LDAR program; ensuring environmental permits and regulations compliance; developing and submitting environmental reports, plans, and permit applications; providing technical support on environmental regulations; maintaining records and reporting to internal teams and external agencies; conducting environmental training; supporting incident management, process safety efforts (MOC, PHA, PSSRs); collaborating with site leadership and Safety Lead on emergency response plans and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, safety science, or equivalent
- 3–5 years’ work experience as an environmental specialist in an industrial setting, preferably chemical manufacturing
