Job Summary
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment throughout the organization by cleaning and sanitizing patient rooms, treatment areas, public spaces, offices, and other assigned locations. Support infection prevention efforts by following established cleaning and sanitation procedures, while performing linen distribution, collection, and related services. Operate cleaning equipment and machinery safely and effectively, and assist with cleaning and maintaining specialized and sterile areas as needed. Complete specialty cleaning assignments, outdoor maintenance activities including lawn care and snow removal, and other environmental services tasks as directed. This role contributes to the patient experience at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, a nationally recognized cancer center dedicated to curing cancer.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to speak and write English
- Must be able to safely operate equipment and tools used in environmental services and facility maintenance
- Must be flexible and willing to assist with a variety of cleaning, linen, and maintenance-related tasks
- Must be comfortable performing physical work and being active throughout the shift
- Must demonstrate professionalism and respect when interacting with patients, visitors, and colleagues
- Must take pride in keeping spaces clean, organized, and welcoming
- Must have a strong work ethic and a dependable approach to daily responsibilities
- Must pay close attention to detail and follow instructions carefully
Desired Qualifications
- Previous environmental services, housekeeping, custodial, hospitality, healthcare, or facility maintenance experience
