Job Summary
Conduct daily cleaning tasks for resident rooms, nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, offices, and assigned areas using standard procedures. Receive, sort, wash, dry, fold, track, and deliver laundry within the Children's Center. Operate wet/dry vacuum units, steamers, and pressure washers; mop, sanitize, and polish floors, fixtures, and furniture. Replenish bathroom supplies, maintain linen rooms, and manage laundry carts. Transport waste, assist in emergency evacuations, and respond to critical service moments while maintaining confidentiality. Work per diem night shifts at Elizabeth Seton Children's Center.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language fluently
- Must meet or exceed all health standards and requirements for the position as established by NYDOH and all other regulatory agencies
- Must meet the general health requirements set fourth by the policies of this Center which includes a medical and physical examination
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of thirty-five (35) pounds
- Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents, if necessary
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma preferred
- 2-3 years as Housekeeping Worker or Laundry Worker, preferably in Health Care facility
