Environmental Services Worker II (Full-time, 7AM-3:30PM)

Job Summary
Conduct floor care tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, waxing, and shampooing surfaces while collecting, removing, and disposing of biohazardous and infectious waste. Handle soiled linens, clean patient rooms and common areas, and respond to spill cleanups ensuring compliance with infection control standards. Move furniture and equipment as needed, monitor cleaning supply usage, and communicate maintenance needs to the supervisor. Maintain accurate cleaning logs and report completed tasks. Requires 1-3 years of experience in environmental services or hospital facility maintenance, with a preference for CHEST or CHESP certification. Full-time position from 7AM-3:30PM.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in environmental services, housekeeping, custodial work, or hospital facility maintenance
- Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, and floor care techniques
- Ability to safely handle biohazardous and infectious waste in compliance with infection control standards
- Familiarity with equipment cleaning, maintenance, and proper usage
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning schedules effectively
- Knowledge of hospital policies, regulatory standards, and safety procedures for environmental services
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced healthcare setting
- Good communication skills to interact with staff, patients, and visitors in a professional manner
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in Environmental Services or Healthcare Cleaning (such as CHEST or CHESP certification)
