Environmental Services Worker I

Cleans and sanitizes assigned areas including rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and elevators while adhering to infection control standards. Sweeps, mops, vacuums, and dusts floors, furniture, and equipment; performs maintenance on hard and carpeted surfaces including stripping and refinishing. Washes walls, ceilings, windows, and woodwork. Restocks supplies, monitors inventory levels, and reports shortages. Handles trash and biohazardous materials safely in compliance with safety and HIPAA protocols. Operates and maintains cleaning equipment, reporting malfunctions or repair needs. Assists with minor repairs and reports larger facility issues. Requires 1-2 years of cleaning experience and completion of assigned SAMA course within 30 days of hire for Indiana, Mississippi, and North Carolina locations.
