Job Summary
The Environmental Services Worker I is responsible for performing both light and heavy manual labor in the collection and disposal of municipal garbage, recycling, yard waste, and refuse. Duties include operating as part of a sanitation collection crew, inspecting waste for contamination, loading waste into garbage trucks, assisting with disposal at transfer sites, guiding truck operators, performing routine maintenance on equipment, and training new workers. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and a valid Class C Driver's License.
