Environmental Services Technician, Long Term Care (LTC) - FT Days

Job Summary
Maintain a safe and sanitary environment in patient/resident rooms and assigned areas by following infection control, safety, and procedural guidelines. Empty waste baskets, sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors using brooms, mops, or powered machines. Demonstrate knowledge of housekeeping processes to provide a clean, sterile environment for patients, residents, visitors, and staff. Wear proper protective equipment, keep storage and equipment carts well-stocked, and use pagers or technology applications as needed. Assist in laundry areas and handle materials up to 40-50 lbs while working on your feet for the majority of the shift. This role includes an every other weekend and holiday rotation with 8-hour day shifts from 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience
- Ability to use computer
- Prior cleaning experience
- Knowledge of materials, equipment, cleaning methods and cleaning chemicals
- Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous custodial experience in a healthcare environment
- Valid driver's license
- Good driving record
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 40-50lbs
- Ability to push/pull up variable weight limits on flat surfaces or up and down ramps
- Ability to be on their feet for the majority of their shift
Desired Qualifications
