Environmental Services Technician I - Full Time - Second Shift

Job Summary
Remove non-hazardous waste and recyclables, damp wipe, dust, mop, and vacuum various surfaces, and operate ultraviolet light equipment to disinfect touched surfaces, furniture, equipment, and building permanent surfaces daily. Make beds, cribs, and stretchers; remove linens; and clean and transport medical equipment such as IV pumps, commodes, and walkers from patient rooms to designated locations. Fill dispensers for hand soap, sanitizer, and tissues; move and replace furniture; enter time and attendance data; and document completed cleaning in department forms. Report damaged areas, defective equipment, or unsafe situations. Perform these duties in occupied and unoccupied patient care areas, operating suites, and public spaces during the second shift.
Required Qualifications
- Can perform repetitive or routine duties working from detailed instructions and under standard procedures
- Demonstrates competency to communicate in English to read, write, and speak
- Demonstrates competency to use and understand the following computer programs: time and attendance, bed tracking, disinfection equipment, organization education programs, text communications, and Microsoft Outlook
- Can follow department cleaning techniques and procedures as written
- Must be available for weekend rotation
- Must be available for holidays
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or a GED
- Healthcare experience
- Cleaning experience
