Environmental Services Technician (Housekeeping)

Job Summary
Maintain cleanliness and safety of resident rooms, apartments, common areas, and employee work areas in skilled nursing, assisted living, and independent living facilities. Disinfect, mop, sweep, vacuum, remove hazardous waste, clean furniture and windows, and launder soiled linens. Operate floor-cleaning machines, buffers, and wet/dry vacuums while adhering to Material Safety Data Sheets and universal precautions for blood and body fluids. Cross-train to work in all community areas and perform periodic tasks such as wall washing and drapery cleaning. Clean up unexpected accidents, spills, and body wastes while maintaining a calm attitude with difficult residents and families. Work cooperatively with all disciplines and report resident rights agreement violations immediately.
