Job Summary
Conduct daily cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing of patient rooms, procedure areas, restrooms, offices, and public spaces using approved agents and equipment. Safely handle, remove, and dispose of general waste, regulated medical waste, and sharps. Perform terminal cleaning in discharge and isolation rooms while following infection prevention protocols. Operate EVS equipment such as vacuums, scrubbers, and chemical dispensing systems. Dust, wipe, and disinfect all surfaces, including high-touch areas, and maintain flooring through vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and spot cleaning. Restock supplies and document tasks for quality assurance. Report facility issues promptly. Adhere to hand hygiene and PPE protocols. Work varied shifts, per diem, or other schedules. Complete Environmental Services onboarding and competency checklist. Prior healthcare housekeeping experience preferred.
