Job Summary
Clean, disinfect, and maintain a safe environment in all designated areas of the facility using proper germicide products and infection control practices. Vacuum, sweep, mop floors and carpets, and clean windows, blinds, and woodwork. Clean resident beds and rooms upon discharge while handling infectious waste appropriately. Maintain work carts, supply closets, and non-motorized equipment by keeping them stocked and clean. Manage inventory and safe utilization of cleaning supplies and equipment. Comply with all policies and procedures and updates. Perform other duties as assigned. This part-time day shift role supports the exceptional home-like environment for elderly residents at Mount Alverna Village, a continuing care retirement community offering independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing services.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be able to work rotating weekends and holidays as needed
- Must be reliable, energetic and self-motivated who truly enjoys working with the senior population
- Great attendance
Desired Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping experience a plus
