Job Summary
Environmental Services Technician responsible for maintaining a safe and sanitary environment in patient/resident rooms and assigned areas following infection control and safety guidelines; tasks include cleaning floors, waxing, scrubbing, using cleaning tools, assisting in laundry as appropriate, and ensuring storage and equipment remain clean and well-stocked; requires ability to lift 40-50lbs, stand for long periods, and work varied shifts including days, weekends, and holidays in a healthcare facility.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to use computer and prior cleaning experience is helpful
- Knowledge of materials, equipment, cleaning methods and cleaning chemicals is helpful
- Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are required
- Previous custodial experience in a healthcare environment is preferred
