Job Summary
Cleans assigned patient and public areas daily, including collecting trash and sanitizing surfaces. Maintains stocked supplies in designated areas and demonstrates knowledge of infection control, isolation procedures, and proper operation of cleaning equipment. Uses Bed Management system to track bed flow and utilizes basic handheld technology. Handles waste disposal including biohazardous materials, cleans and disinfects areas with bodily fluids per facility standards, and documents all work performed. Requires ability to read and follow assignments, interact with patients, and perform basic arithmetic. Preferred healthcare environmental services experience and additional language skills. Pay range reflects daytime shift with weekend rotation; full-time position in Hendersonville, NC.
Required Qualifications
- High School Grad or Equiv (Preferred)
- Healthcare environmental services experience preferred
- Knowledge of infection control procedures preferred
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and follow safety guidelines
- Ability to read and understand safety data sheets and labels
- Ability to communicate in English
- Basic computer skills
