Job Summary
Conduct routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, restrooms, corridors, elevators, and stairways in a clean, neat, and sanitary manner. Remove soiled linen, deliver and unload clean linens, transport trash and hazardous waste, and replenish supplies while utilizing appropriate chemicals according to procedure. Maintain and adhere to housekeeping detail standards, infection prevention practices, and safety precautions, including Standard and Transmission-Based Precautions. Report safety hazards, assist visitors with directions, and set up meeting rooms as needed. Works day, evening, or night shifts as assigned with normal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and lift 50+ pounds repetitively
- Constant walking and standing
- Frequent pushing, pulling, and lifting
- Occasional squatting, bending, and twisting
- Must be able to work around cleaning products
- Visual abilities, auditory abilities, must be intact
- Physical dexterity to perform repetitive duties
- Ability to do work on his/her own with normal supervision
- Ability to stoop, climb, and handle tools and equipment as required
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-year experience
