Job Summary
Perform daily cleaning of all patient-use areas, restrooms, offices, and engage in project cleaning as needed. Execute tasks such as scrubbing, mopping, polishing, and using appropriate chemical mixtures while maintaining a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Interact professionally with patients, physicians, and hospital personnel, and collaborate effectively with team members to uphold behavioral standards. Work independently with minimal supervision, adhering to regular attendance and punctuality policies. Requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive motions; potential exposure to chemicals, biological hazards, and infectious diseases. Schedule includes 10:30pm to 7:00am shifts with every other weekend off.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical functions
- Be flexible with work schedules, hours, and assignments
- Adhere to regular attendance and punctuality policies
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in institutional and/or commercial housekeeping
- Familiarity with waxing and stripping floors
