Environmental Services Tech I (Housekeeper)

Job Summary
Conduct routine daily cleaning of assigned hospital and office areas, including patient discharge rooms, operating rooms, and sterile procedure spaces. Transport waste, recyclables, and biohazard materials while adhering to strict infection prevention protocols, hand hygiene, and PPE donning and doffing. Stock service carts and closets, maintain equipment cleanliness, and arrange meeting rooms as instructed. Utilize the work duty phone for EPIC communication and ensure proper disposal of all materials. Recognize and adhere to patient privacy requirements and HIPAA regulations. Demonstrate ability to interact with a diverse workforce and perform other related duties as assigned. Shift schedule is 7am-3:30pm.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to maintain a standing position
- Must be able to stoop, crouch, bend or twist
- Must be able to push, pull, or transport heavy equipment
- Must be able to reach arms above or below shoulder height
- Possible exposure to blood borne pathogens
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
- Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred
